The Bat Man Must Stand Alone

Just a quick note: Oscar started to tell me last night about how the current Dark Knight harks back to the blah di blah version of the comix and I cut him off rudely.

"The Dark Knight Must Stand Alone," I said.

Well, I didn't actually say that, because I haven't reached that level of geekiness yet, but I do want to point out here that the mess that is The Dark Knight has to stand on its own. If you like it because you've read five thousand Batman comix and this adds to your store, great. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I didn't. And the Dark Knight must stand on its own as a flick. And it doesn't IMO.
